The Fundador Solera Reserva Brandy, introduced in 1874 and originally marketed as Brandy de Jerez, is considered to be the first brandy in the world. This brandy is one of Spain's traditional spirits and is characterized by a soft and warm aroma with fruity notes, making it the country's most popular brandy.

The history of Fundador Solera Reserva Brandy can be traced back to a winery in the renowned sherry regions of Carrascal and Macharnudo, which became one of the main players in the sherry market. In 1816, the company was renamed "Pedro Domecq". When Pedro Domecq Lustau took over the management of the family business, he launched the Fundador brand in 1874, laying the foundations for Brandy de Jerez, the popularity of which made him a purveyor to the court.

Demand for Brandy de Jerez grew rapidly both nationally and internationally, making Brandy from Jerez, including brands such as Presidente, the world's best-selling spirit. Fundador Solera Reserva brandy remains one of Spain's leading export brandies to this day, recognized for its quality and long tradition.
