In addition to the famous Castello Nippozzano and Tenuta Castiglioni, Castello Pomino, Remole, Tenuta Perano, Castel Giocondo and Tenuta Ammiraglia were also part of the family estate.
The winter of 2013 was cold, with temperatures below zero and heavy, albeit sporadic, snowfalls.
Spring was cool, precipitation was well distributed. Water reserves were well replenished for the summer, when growth is at its peak and berries begin to ripen and change color.
Compared to the average, the summer was extremely fresh, with temperature peaks at the end of July and beginning of August, which favorably influenced the color change. The temperature fluctuations between day and night promoted gradual ripening. The favorable climatic conditions in September allowed the grapes to ripen evenly. The result was healthy grapes of excellent quality.
