The Frauwallner winery is located in Karbach, Straden. The foundation stone was laid by Walter's grandparents, Hilda and Josef Ruckenstuhl, on their farm with a small area of vines for self-sufficiency. Today, the second and third generations work hand in hand: the winery is run by Walter and Petra Frauwallner, supported by the next generation.

The wines come from the renowned vineyards Buch, Stradener Rosenberg, Steintal and Altes Steinkreuz. Manual work, quality-oriented foliage care and careful grape selection during the harvest are a matter of course. Decisions about the right time for vineyard work and harvesting are based on gut feeling, head and experience. The quality of the grapes reaches the bottle through solid craftsmanship and finely tuned cellar technology.

The cellar, built in 2008 in the middle of the Buch vineyard, offers more space for steel tanks and oak barrels, thus creating "more space for time".

Frauwallner Weissburgunder Ried Buch is made from 100% Pinot Blanc grapes grown on slopes with volcanic rock, basalt and limestone gravel. The grapes are carefully harvested by hand. After a maceration period of 12 to 20 hours, the wine is matured: 50% matures for 12 months in new wooden barrels and 50% in used wooden barrels. The Pinot Blanc is then bottled with a screw cap.

This wine has an impressive drinking potential until 2036 and combines power and elegance to create a unique taste experience.
