The traditional family business R.L. Seale has been producing first-class Barbados rum since 1820 and is one of the oldest trading houses on the island. Richard Seale, the current master distiller, is considered one of the most innovative rum experts in the Caribbean. Known for his exceptional creations, he combines traditional craftsmanship with modern know-how to produce perfectly balanced and intensely flavored rums.

Exceptional Cask Series from the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados represents the rarest and highest quality rums, selected with the greatest care by Master Distiller Richard Seale. This series is characterized by limited bottlings that are only released when they meet Richard Seale's exceptionally high standards. Each edition is a unique blend that combines innovative approaches to the art of blending and barrel ageing.

This exclusive bottling of Foursquare combines three different 16-year-old single blended rums distilled at the renowned Foursquare Distillery in Barbados. Both the copper double-retort pot still and the continuous twin-column coffey still were used to ensure the complexity of the rums.

Two of the components were double matured: the first rum matured for three years in ex-bourbon casks and a further 13 years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks, while the second matured for nine years in ex-bourbon casks and then seven years in ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The third part of the blend is a single blended rum that has spent its entire 16-year maturation period in ex-bourbon barrels.

All steps - from blending to maturation and bottling - were carried out entirely on site by master distiller and blender Richard Seale. The result is a perfectly balanced rum that combines depth, complexity and elegance in a unique way.
