Hardly a soul knows that rum is distilled on the dreamlike Caribbean vacation island of Antigua.
The Antigua Distillery has been one of the rum hotspots on the island surrounded by coral reefs since the 1930s.
The immediate proximity to the sea has an effect on the raw materials and, of course, also on the rum production.
This English Harbour Rum matures for 5 years in former American white oak bourbon barrels and then gets a finish in Spanish oloroso sherry casks.
