The Timorous Beastie Cheese Cellar Madeira Cask Finish Limited Edition is an exceptional and highly limited bottling from Douglas Laing, which was created as part of the popular Remarkable Regional Malts series. This special edition of the Highland blended malt was specially created to harmoniously accompany cheese and matured in selected Madeira wine casks, which give the whisky a fruity, spicy, elegantly matured note.

Bottled at a strong 48% vol., not chill-filtered and without colorant, this whisky is in its original form - full of character, unadorned and full of depth. The blend is based on selected single malts from the Scottish Highlands, typically bottlings from Glen Garioch, Blair Athol or Dalmore, which give the whisky its soft texture, honey sweetness and subtle spiciness. The finish in Madeira casks emphasizes the fruity complexity and rounds off the profile with notes of dried fruit, grapes and nutty warmth.

The Timorous Beastie is named after the poem of the same name by Robert Burns - a tongue-in-cheek homage to the "shy little beast", which is anything but reserved in the glass. The "Cheese Cellar Edition" was specially composed to create a perfect pleasure experience when paired with hearty, creamy or mature cheeses.
