The Douglas Laing SCALLYWAG 10 Years Old Speyside Blended Malt 46% is a characterful blended malt Scotch whisky from Speyside, crafted exclusively from selected single malts from this historic Scottish whisky region. The Speyside malts, aged for at least 10 years, are blended by Douglas Laing into a distinct small-batch release that particularly highlights the typically rich style of the Scallywag series. For this aged expression, maturation takes place entirely in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks, giving the whisky a pronounced sherry character. The name Scallywag is inspired by the Douglas Laing family’s Fox Terriers, which also define the brand’s distinctive look.

With an alcohol content of 46%, the Scallywag 10 Years Old Speyside Blended Malt has enough body to clearly highlight its long maturation period and the intense influence of the Spanish sherry casks. Douglas Laing bottles this edition without added color or chill filtration, ensuring that its color and character remain as authentic as possible. Maturation exclusively in Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso sherry casks clearly distinguishes the 10-year-old Scallywag from many classic Speyside blended malts and gives it a particularly concentrated, sherry-forward style. The 0.7-liter bottle is therefore particularly well-suited for enthusiasts of 10-year-old Scotch whisky, full-bodied sherry cask releases, and complex Speyside blended malts with natural color and rich aromas.
