As part of Douglas Laing's Remarkable Regional Malts collection, Big Peat represents the essence of the Islay region in concentrated form. With a phenol content of 40 ppm, it offers an intense peat experience. The whisky is free from colorants and chill-filtration and is bottled at natural cask strength, which underlines its authenticity and naturalness, in line with Douglas Laing's motto: "As natural as possible".
