Don Julio Gonzalez learned his craft and gained experience in tequila production from his own family. Already at the age of 17, he founded his own distillery and began to develop a unique line of tequila.
Don Julio Anejo is aged for at least one year in small white oak barrels. Although this aging period may seem short at first glance, it is accelerated by the Mexican climate, resulting in intense flavor development.
According to legislation, tequila may only be distilled from the fermented juice of the "Agave Tequiliana Weber" in certain regions of Mexico.
This traditional production method emphasizes the uniqueness and importance of origin and craftsmanship in the production of this classic Mexican drink.
