The well-known champagne brand Dom Perignon takes its name from a 17th century Benedictine monk, Dom Pierre Perignon. The monk spent 47 years trying to make the best wine in the world.

Dom Perignon is generally only available as a vintage wine, whereby it can develop the unique nuances of the respective vintage in the best possible way. The fully ripe grapes for this champagne come from the famous terroirs of Champagne and are selected using an extremely strict process.

The year 2013 was characterized by a wet and cold winter and a cloudy spring. These climatic conditions delayed the entire vegetation cycle by around 15 days.

The hot and dry weather in summer favored the development of the grapes, which were finally harvested from September 28 to October 15.

Lady Gaga, as well as the producers of the Dom Perignon brand, firmly believe in the power of absolute creative freedom. The fascinating sculpture of the bottle was created by Lady Gaga with the help of Japanese-born fashion editor Nicola Formichetti.
