For this special edition, selected marc is gently distilled in small copper stills to preserve the typical finesse and clarity of the distillate. The grappa is then matured in Sauternes barrels, which previously housed the famous French noble sweet wine from the Bordeaux region. This barrel ageing gives the grappa the characteristic honey-like sweetness, soft fruity notes and elegant depth that is typical of Sauternes wines.
