The Conde Valdemar Reserva Rioja DOC 2018 comes from the renowned Bodegas Valdemar based in Oyon, one of the most traditional producers in the region. Its origins in La Rioja and the Rioja DOC region have a lasting impact on the character of this Reserva wine and reflect the interplay of origin, grape variety diversity and classic ageing. The wine is based on a cuvee of Tempranillo, Graciano, Garnacha and Maturana, which grow on clayey soil and are given a striking depth and structure by the soil structure. Vinification initially takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by 18 months of ageing in French and American oak before the wine continues to harmonize in the bottle. A natural cork serves as a classic closure and underlines the quality standards of the house. The ageing potential extends to 2029 and gives the wine additional appeal for long-term enjoyment.

The 2018 vintage is a precisely crafted interpretation of a Reserva wine, whose style is characterized by the harmonious interplay of grape varieties, barrique maturity and regional identity. Controlled vinification and two-stage ageing result in a structured, multi-layered Rioja that clearly reflects the typical strengths of the region. The combination of classic Rioja craftsmanship, modern cellar technology and the geological characteristics of the clay soil make this Rioja Reserva a wine that is suitable for both gastronomic occasions and sophisticated moments of enjoyment.
