The distillery owns a vineyard of 280 hectares located in the Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne and Fins Bois regions. The Leyrat brand is produced by Domaines Francis Abecassis.
In the case of the Cognac Leyrat X.O.. Hors D'Age Single Estate Cognac, exclusive eaux-de-vie from the Fins Bois region are blended. This cognac is aged for at least 30 years. Some included eaux-de-vie are 40, 50 or 100 years old.
The Cognac ages for 6 to 12 months in Limousin oak barrels. It is then aged for another 4 to 12 years in slightly older barrels. Finally, it is transferred to an old wooden barrel.
