Campari is a red herbal liqueur with a bittersweet taste. It has been produced in Milan since 1862, when it was first served in the Cafe Camparino in the Victor Emmanuel Gallery.
The exact recipe is a family secret. According to the manufacturing company Campari Group, 86 different roots, herbs, spices and fruits are used. Campari is still produced according to the original recipe today.
Campari is an aperitif that stimulates the appetite. You can also use it with long drinks or cocktails. The classics include Campari soda, Campari orange and Campari tonic. But also the Americano or the Malaria Killer are very famous.
