As is typical of this line, malt and grain whiskey are blended together before being carefully matured in ex-bourbon and oloroso sherry casks. The high proportion of matured malt whiskey in the blend gives the Black Bush its particularly smooth texture and elegant complexity.

At 43% by volume, the Caviste Edition has a stronger structure than the classic Black Bush, but remains harmonious and round at the same time.
