In the legendary "No. 1 Vault", the old stone vault on the edge of Loch Indaal, the magical character of Islay and centuries-old traditions combine to create a single malt whisky with complex balance, mild Islay smokiness, maritime minerality and a wealth of fresh stone fruit flavours.
At 10 years old, Bowmore Dark & Intense was launched specifically for travel retail.
The maturation takes place in Spanish sherry casks and hogsheads to get its spicy notes with characteristic peat smoke.
