Andrea Bottega, the "forefather" of the family, has been cultivating vines in the picturesque hills near Molinetto della Croda in Refrontolo since 1635. Originally working as tenants of the Counts of Collalto, the Bottega family began to cultivate their own land after their liberation. Aldo Bottega, driven by the passion of his father Andrea, introduced innovative techniques to grappa production, including the first single-varietal grappa. His entrepreneurial spirit led to the founding of Distilleria Bottega in Pianzano di Godega in 1977, together with his wife Rosina. Distilleria Bottega later moved to Bibano di Godega di Sant'Urbano, about 50 kilometers from Venice, near Conegliano Veneto, where it is still located today. The distillery is housed in a large 17th century farmhouse, surrounded by 10 hectares of vineyards, and has been renovated to the latest environmental standards.
Bottega Bacur Distilled Dry Gin owes its unmistakable character to the carefully selected botanical ingredients. Juniper berries, sage leaves and lemon peel are macerated in a solution of water and alcohol over a long period of time. This is followed by double distillation, which removes unwanted notes and creates an elegant, fine bouquet.
