The Bladnoch distillery, which was founded in 1817, underwent several changes of ownership over the course of its history before returning to family ownership. Today, it is the southernmost active distillery in Scotland, located in the far south of the Lowlands. Although Bladnoch is one of the smaller distilleries, it impresses with an exceptional variety of high-quality whiskies.
The Bladnoch 16 year old, part of the renowned Heritage Collection, is matured in carefully selected Oloroso sherry casks, which gives it a particularly rich and spicy taste experience. This combination of long maturation time and sherry casks provides a depth and complexity that connoisseurs will appreciate. The Heritage Collection is symbolic of the rich heritage of the Bladnoch distillery, which has preserved and developed tradition and craftsmanship over generations.
