Black Velvet, a brand originating in 1951, was originally known as "Black Label". After the first batch was tasted by Jack Napier, the original distiller, the name was changed to Black Velvet to honor the whisky's uniquely velvety taste. As a typical Canadian whisky, Black Velvet is made from a blend of rye, barley and corn and is matured for three years in bourbon barrels.
Black Velvet Toasted Caramel is an innovative twist on the classic Black Velvet blended whisky, infusing it with the rich aroma of toasted caramel to add an extra dimension of flavor.
