Barcelo Imperial Onyx is aged in white American oak barrels that are heavily toasted. The selection of the barrels is carefully made by the Master Cooper. The filtration is done with the help of onyx stones, which also give the rum its name.
Onyx stones are black healing stones often found in Brazil, India, Madagascar, Mexico and USA.
