Albert Michler Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in the former Austro-Hungarian Empire, producing high-quality spirits and liqueurs. The company was founded in 1863 in Silesia, Czech Republic, and has since established itself as one of the leading producers of fine spirits in Europe. The Cognac Double Cask Edition is a Dominican rum that matures in ex-bourbon barrels as well as in ex-cognac barrels, made of French Limousine oak, for 12-16 months.
The maturation of the up to 21 years old rum takes place according to the solera method; the average age is 16 years.
