This bottling is named after the mysterious Machrie Moor, a wild moorland landscape on the west coast of the island, which is known for its ancient stone circles and rugged, natural surroundings. This landscape served as the inspiration for the whisky, whose character is intended to reflect the powerful and pristine nature of Arran.

The Arran Machrie Moor Cask Strength Whisky is one of the early peated single malt bottlings produced at Lochranza Distillery. Bottled at cask strength at 56.2% vol., the whisky develops a particularly intense aroma and preserves the unadulterated character of the distillate. Typical for Arran, the whisky is bottled without chill-filtration and without the addition of colorant, which preserves its natural structure and color. The smoky style combines the fresh, fruity Arran DNA with an elegant peat smoke note and gives this Isle of Arran single malt Scotch whisky an exciting balance of smoke, fruit and spice.
