Akori gin, although its name and design suggest its Japanese origin, is actually a product of Spanish distillation art, specifically from the Campeny distilleries, which are already known for Tann's and Only Gin. Typical Japanese botanicals such as dragon fruit, kumquats and ginger are used in the production of Akori. Kumquats are also known as dwarf oranges or dwarf bitter orange and belong to the rue family.
