This classic Japanese blend is made from 30% malted barley and 70% grain and is matured for at least five years, including three years in hogsheads and two years in white oak casks.
What makes Akashi Red Japanese Blended Whisky special is its production by the Akashi brand, which integrates traditional sake-making methods into whisky production. The history of Akashi dates back to 1919, when the Eigashima distillery was granted a license to produce whisky.
The modern White Oak Distillery was founded in the 1980s and has been producing Akashi brand whiskies ever since.
