This remarkable approach weaves traditional techniques of sake production into the whisky-making process, giving Akashi whisky an unparalleled depth and complexity.

Akashi Japanese Blended Whisky represents an outstanding example of classic Japanese whisky making, carefully crafted from 30% malted barley and 70% grain. This blend undergoes a maturation process of at least five years. The first three years of maturation take place in hogsheads, traditional casks that initially provide a solid foundation of robust, malty notes. The whisky then spends a further two years in American white oak casks.
