Adam-Lieleg Alte Reben Zweigelt Barrique Steiermark 2021 14,5% Vol. 0,75l
A new logo was introduced in 2018, symbolizing the long-standing tradition, the connection to viticulture and nature. The name "Adam", from the Hebrew for "earthling" (human), stands for the terroir-related color brown in the brand identity. "Lieleg" is derived from the lily, a symbol of freshness and purity, which was also used in the Middle Ages and in the coat of arms of the city of Paris and serves as the winery's new trademark.
The fully ripe Zweigelt grapes are carefully harvested by hand in southern Styria, where they thrive on calcareous conglomerate soil. The wine is matured for at least 24 months in small oak barrels, which lends it elegance and charm. After this careful ageing phase, the red wine is bottled and sealed with a natural cork. The wine has a storage potential of at least 10 years, during which it can develop its full aroma profile.
