The distillery A.H. Riise is located on St. Thomas Island, an American Virgin Island in the Caribbean. Before this island became an American territory, it was a Danish colony.
The pharmacist Albert Heinrich was allowed not only to open a pharmacy around the 1840s, but also to produce alcohol.
This bottling is the fourth of a total of eight different master blends. In total, there are eight batches of the fourth edition - this spirit drink is batch 5. All blends are bottled in black bottles at cask strength.
Each bottle bears the signature of the Master Distiller, is numbered and shows the bottling date.
