Tschermonegg Weissburgunder Suedsteiermark DAC 2023 11,5% Vol. 0,75l

The Tschermonegg winery is a family business that has been producing wine on the South Styrian Wine Route for more than 120 years. The family owns 30 hectares of vineyards, which vary in location. These include Oberglanzberg, Lubenkogel and Poessnitzberg.

The 2023 wine year began with a very dry spring, which was characterized by alternating cool and warm phases before the vines began to bud towards the end of April. Rainfall during and after the flowering period led to massive fungal infestation. The months of July and August were mixed, with increased rainfall at the end of August. The main harvest lasted from the end of September to the beginning of October. Despite the challenges, the grapes showed a good aroma and the vintage was somewhat lighter in alcohol content, resulting in a particularly drinkable wine.

The Tschermonegg Weissburgunder is matured for 6-8 months on the fine lees in stainless steel tanks in order to develop its characteristic aromas optimally. The vines from which this wine is made are between 8 and 35 years old. With an ideal drinking maturity until 2027, this wine offers long-lasting enjoyment. The bottles are sealed with a screw cap.
