Tormore was founded in the late 1950s, making it the only distillery in Scotland that has only been in existence since the 20th century. However, this youthful age does not detract from the high quality of its products. On the contrary: Tormore has now established itself among the wide range of Speyside whiskies and has found a large number of fans worldwide.

The quality of the Tormore 16 year old comes from the high-quality production process, which includes the crystal-clear water used during distillation. The single malt matures in carefully selected American oak barrels, with only limited batches being produced and bottled. The whisky is not chill-filtered so as not to affect the taste, which is why it is labeled "non-chill filtered".
