Since the founding of the Balvenie distillery, there have been hardly any changes; the single malts are still produced in the traditional way today.
Together with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is still independent and family-owned by its founders.
Blender David Stewart has put together this whisky from 21 casks. Sherry butts, bourbon barrels and double wood refill sherry butts were used.
