Since the founding of the Balvenie distillery, there have been hardly any changes; the single malts are still produced in the traditional way today.
Together with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is still independent and family-owned by its founders.
The Balvenie 14 Years Old Caribbean Cask matures initially for 14 years in oak casks and then in ex-Caribbean rum casks.
