Under the label "The Alba Trail", the German import house Alba Import has been presenting hand-picked single cask bottlings from its carefully curated stocks since the beginning of 2022. These special casks have been built up over two decades to offer whisky connoisseurs unique and limited bottlings.
A 16 year matured Miltonduff from a first fill bourbon cask is a real gem among Scottish single malts. The Miltonduff distillery, known for its creamy texture and fruity elegance, presents a masterful combination of cask and distillate influence with this bottling. The maturation in first fill bourbon casks gives the whisky a luscious vanilla sweetness and a velvety depth that harmonizes perfectly with the natural fruitiness.
The full body and soft texture make it a real pleasure. The bottling strength of 46% was deliberately chosen to maintain the optimum balance between intensity and drinking pleasure.
