The Ocho Tequila is produced by the "La Altena" distillery. This is located in Arandas in the state of Jalisco in Mexico.
Ocho' means 'eight', this number is very important for Tequila Ocho, because it takes about eight years until the agaves are ripe before they are harvested and you need about eight kilograms of agaves for a liter of Ocho Tequila.
The agaves used for this tequila come exclusively from a special field where they grew for 8 years.
This tequila was created by the master blender Carlos Camarena. It is produced exclusively in small quantities and bottled directly after distillation.
