Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the renowned DOC Bolgheri, along the northwestern coast of the Maremma region, about 100 kilometers southwest of Florence. This picturesque vineyard covers an area of around 320 hectares in a plain surrounded by hills, known as the "Bolgheri amphitheater" due to its formation. This region lies at an altitude of 50 meters and is home to grape varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot and Vermentino. The region owes its mild climate to its proximity to the sea. Constant breezes temper the heat in summer and soften the cold in winter, resulting in clear skies and plenty of sunshine. The soils in this area consist of clay, sand and silt, interspersed with the unique Bolgherese agglomerate (skeleton), which gives the grapes an unmistakable territorial identity.
Il Bruciato Bolgheri, made from the Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah grape varieties, which thrive on calcareous soil and rocks, matures in barrique barrels. This wine has an impressive ageing potential until 2028 and is sealed with a natural cork.
