The Tement winery, located in southern Styria on the border with Slovenia, concentrates primarily on the cultivation of white grape varieties. 95% of its vineyards are planted with varieties such as Welschriesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gelber Muskateller, Pinot Blanc, Morillon and Traminer. The wines, which are grouped under the name "Steirische Klassik", come from different vineyards and mature in stainless steel tanks. In addition to the "Steirische Klassik", the winery also produces single-vineyard wines, each of which reflects the characteristic influence of its specific vineyard site and is matured in both large and small wooden barrels.

Ried Zieregg is one of the most famous vineyards in Austria. For the Tement family, however, this vineyard has a special significance, as it is the origin of their family history and a place of great emotion.

This Sauvignon Blanc Ried Zieregg consists of 100% hand-picked Sauvignon Blanc grapes. The vines grow on brown earth and calcareous marl on a coralline limestone subsoil, with an average vine age of 35 years. The wine undergoes spontaneous fermentation and is then aged for 30 months on the fine lees in large old oak barrels. It is bottled unfiltered and has a storage potential of around 20 years; the bottles are sealed with a natural cork.
