Takamaka White Rum comes from the main island of the Seychelles, Mahe. Since the distillery was founded in 2002, this rum was initially intended for the inhabitants of the Seychelles and reflects the authentic taste of the island. It is a perfect reminder of a vacation in the Seychelles.
Takamaka White Rum is made from fresh sugar cane juice, which comes from the island's own plantations on the island of Mahe and is processed at La Pain St. Andre. After fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, a triple distillation takes place. The white rum, the heart of all Takamaka rums, is distilled with an alcohol content of up to 96% and stored in stainless steel tanks for maturation so as not to change its color or taste. The distillery's own spring water is used to reduce the drinking strength.
