Stauning Curious is the first bottling in Stauning's Research Series. This range is a playground where traditions are liberated and space is created for experimentation.
Each bottling is designed by an artist, the artwork of Curious was created by Thit Hansgaard. She works as a tattoo artist at Sinners Inc Art Collective in Aarhus, Denmark.
Curious is not a whisky, it is a White Dog, New Make or Raw Spirit - an unaged heart of rye whisky from Stauning Distillery.
To give this White Dog that certain something, the mash sample of malted rye and malted barley is smoked with peat, which is normally only used for Stauning's peated single malts.
