Since 1999, the Slyrs distillery has been producing the first and only Upper Bavarian single malt whisky made using the traditional rough and fine distillation process. From the finest barley malt and crystal-clear mountain spring water, a vintage whisky is created in new oak barrels with a capacity of 225 liters, which is bottled in strictly limited quantities.
The name "Slyrs" is a creative reference to "Schliersee" and reflects the origins of the distillery. The whisky is matured in American white oak barrels, with the combination of pure mountain spring water and Bavarian summer barley giving this single malt its exceptional quality.
In the midst of the Bavarian Alps, the carefully selected raw materials, the craftsmanship and the patience of the long maturation process come into their own. The significantly lower production capacity at the time makes this whisky a particularly exclusive rarity.
