The Schneider family's winery in Ellenstadt was founded in 1994 with just one hectare of land, and today around 92 hectares of vines are cultivated. The winemaker Markus Bauer attaches great importance to organic cultivation without artificial fertilizers and insecticides. He uses only organic fertilizers for his vines. A wide variety of grape varieties are grown on this estate, including Riesling, Pinot Gris, Merlot, Cabernet and many more. The average annual production is 800,000 bottles, these are now offered worldwide by various top restaurants, hotels and cruise ships.
