Ron San Miguel Rum comes from one of the few rum cellars that exist in Ecuador. This rum cellar is located in Cuenca, a city in the Ecuadorian southern Andes. Due to the location of 2,538 meters above sea level, the sugar spirits maturing there are granted an exceptional humidity of 85-95 percent.
The exquisite Ron San Miguel Solera 1952 Extra Anejo was distilled by the distillery as fermented molasses. The distillation itself was done in a continuous column still manner and the result is a light and aromatic rum. The maturation took place in American white oak barrels. Due to the above-average length of maturation, this Solera 1952 Extra Anejo counts as a real rarity.
