Ramos Pinto RP.LBV Late bottled Vintage 2017 19,5% Vol. 0,75l in Giftbox

The Ramos Pinto company was founded in 1880 by Adriano Ramos Pinto and has now existed for over 140 years. The business was expanded to the Brazilian market and was thus the result of an innovative and pioneering strategy - even today the company stands for innovation and tradition. At the beginning of the 20th century, the Ramos Pinto brand was exported to South America and at the same time became known worldwide.

Ramos Pinto RP.LBV is a traditional Late bottled Vintage Port, bottled unfiltered and without any treatment. In the Douro region, it was quite dry in 2016 and 2017, with high average temperatures. The harvest began earlier than usual due to climatic conditions in the first half of the year. The 2017 harvest will be remembered for a long time due to the rapid ripening of the grapes and the intensity of the harvest. The harvest of the grapes is done by hand. Fermentation lasts between 3 and 5 days and gives the wine its excellent extract. Then the wine is bottled in Vola Nova de Gaia in barrels with a capacity of 15,000 liters and in September of the same year.
