The Canuntum wine-growing region is characterized by the Pannonian microclimate. Summer temperatures prevail in this region during the day, while the landscape is cooled by the Danube at night. This perfect interplay allows the grapes to ripen harmoniously.
Markowitsch Rubin Carnuntum is a red wine made from 100% Zweigelt grapes that thrive on gravel, clay and limestone soils. The grapes are carefully selected by hand from mid to late September. Spontaneous maceration takes place in steel tanks at temperatures of 30-32°C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The red wine matures in used French oak barriques and in large wooden barrels. Markowitsch Rubin Carnuntum has storage potential until 2030. It is sealed with a natural cork and promises an exceptional wine experience.
