It consists of a balanced blend of Merlot (44%), Cabernet Sauvignon (30%), Cabernet Franc (13%) and Petit Verdot (13%), giving it a harmonious combination of depth of flavor and accessibility, while ensuring a proven aging potential.
The grapes for this wine were harvested under ideal conditions, after a warm spring with moderate rainfall and hot temperatures until August.
The grapes were harvested by hand in September and carefully sorted and gently pressed. Since 2016, in addition to manual selection, visual selection has also been carried out to ensure the quality of the grapes.
Alcoholic fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures between 22 and 28°C. After fermentation, the wine was transferred to barriques and stored in Ornellaia's cellars at carefully controlled temperatures for around 15 months.
The soils on which the grapes grow consist of volcanic rock and alluvial soil. The wine is sealed with a natural cork and thus offers an authentic taste experience.
