One outstanding product in this series is a vintage rum from the smallest country in Central America, a region that produces few but high-quality rum brands. This rum was distilled in 2011 and is available under the Maja brand, which is gaining increasing recognition, particularly due to the involvement of Don Pancho Fernandez, a recognized expert in rum production.
The rum is made from molasses and then matured for 10 years in bourbon barrels and in wine barrels from Chateauneuf-du-Pape, France.
