Kavalan SOLIST OX Madeira Cask 58,6% Vol. 0,7l in Giftbox

The Kavalan Distillery, founded in 2005 by T.T. Lee, the president of the King Car Group, marks Taiwan's entry into whisky production. The location in the Yilan region, south-east of the capital Taipei, was chosen due to the excellent water quality, which is fed by the cold springs of Snow Mountain.

One of the distillery's outstanding products is the Solist range, which consists of specially selected barrels from the master blenders. These casks are known for their individual character and high quality. A special product in this range is the "OX", named after the year of the ox in the Chinese calendar 2021. The bottle label bears the words "May great luck be with you in the year of the ox" in Chinese characters.

The maturation process for this whisky takes place in Madeira casks, which gives the end product a complex variety of flavors.
