Once upon a time, Hess Winery was a brewery that brewed unique beer for hundreds of years. Donald Hess took over the brewery at the age of 20 and trained as a master brewer beforehand. In 1961, Hess founded Valser Mineralquellen AG, which was so successful that Coca Cola was also sold. In 1978, Donald Hess decided to take over a winery in Napa Valley with a vineyard area of around 635 hectares. In the last 30 years, Hess bought another three wineries, which, like the main winery, can be visited with free admission. Due to the unusual locations, unique and multi-faceted wine flavors are guaranteed.
The Hess Chardonnay is made from 100% Chardonnay grapes from the Monterey Valley. This wine region is known for producing wonderfully structured, juicy Chardonnays year after year with refreshing acidity and fruitiness typical of the area.
