The Goldenits Heideboden Zweigelt 2022 is a complex, powerful Zweigelt red wine from Burgenland that impresses with depth, fruit, and soft tannins. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., this wine presents itself as a characterful representative of its origin: Heideboden, one of the most renowned vineyards around Gols, near Lake Neusiedl. The vines grow on sandy black earth soils with a medium to high stone content, as well as classic gravel slopes – ideal conditions for structure, minerality, and aging potential.

The grapes were harvested by hand between September 26 and 29, 2023. Following careful selection, a 20-day maceration period and temperature-controlled fermentation followed to maximize the extraction of fruit and color. Aging took place in a combination of used barriques and large oak barrels, which lends the wine complexity and elegance without overpowering the varietal fruit. The wine was bottled on November 30, 2023, ready for immediate consumption or several years of bottle aging.
