For 20 years, William Grant dreamed of distilling the best whisky in the valley - a project he realized in the summer of 1886 with the support of his family. The name Glenfiddich, which translates from Gaelic as "valley of the deer", reflects the idyllic location of the distillery and is a symbol of tradition and closeness to nature.

Fifteen years after the introduction of the first Solera-Vat in 1998, Glenfiddich expanded its production to include three special oak casks specifically for the Cask Collection. The Glenfiddich Vintage Cask undergoes a careful maturation process in European oak casks and American bourbon casks. It then receives its unique finish in one of the three solera vats. This process gives it an incomparable depth and complexity that sets the whisky apart from others.
