The Gaja wine company is one of the most famous in the world. The winery in Barbaresco was founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja. Giovanni Gaja was the great-grandfather of the current owner, Angelo Gaja. Around 300,000 bottles of wine are produced annually and the vineyards cover 92 hectares.
This wine is named after Angelo Gaja's younger daughter, Rossana (Rossi).
