The Floki Icelandic single malt whisky was named after Hrafna-Floki (Floki of the Ravens), an explorer of Iceland. In addition to the two standard bottlings, the Eimverk distillery also produces various cask-finish bottlings.
This whisky is first matured in American oak casks, which allows it to develop its basic flavor profiles. It is then given an exceptional finish in casks that were previously used to store Icelandic beer.
This final step in the maturation process gives the whisky a unique flavor profile with interesting nuances.
